Second Semester, Here I Come

So here I am once again, ready to start what will surely be another exciting semester at Trinity. On Thursday Night, I had to go to sleep very early in order to make the exhausting trip that would begin at 5:30 A.M. I was set to fly from my home here among the potato people and spend six hours on the plane back to Hartford. At first I was a bit sad, my break here was amazing, the friends I met, the family I connected with, and the memories I made all reminded me of the positive aspects of home and also made my time here truly relaxing. Also seeing my sisters and parents again after four months away and how much they grew (esp. my sisters!) was just truly nurturing. I am very thankful for my family, who fed me and let me sleep long hours after a tiring semester. Thank you to all my friends from KOG and Boise High. I enjoyed meeting up with everyone and hearing about your lives. But nevertheless I had chosen to accept the scholarship from trinity for a reason, to start my future and make a better life for myself.

At 3:30 I rolled into Boise airport and bid my mother and father adieu.  I soon got on the plane and left Boise, where I tried to sleep and finally landed in Minneapolis. At this point I was freezing, Minnesota had snow and the temperatures were below freezing. But luckily, I didn’t have to stay for long, soon my plane to Hartford came and my heart swelled with excitement. I was about to head back to college and all that it offered.

I came back to Trinity and this weekend was truly wonderful. I connected with friends from last semester who I missed, had fun time eating a bunch of Chinese food and rice, and even watched my first ever squash match, which was to say at the very least interesting, and as you all know it is what Trinity is renowned for, we even managed to beat Harvard in the game.

And now it is Sunday night. I admire the classes I chose this semester as they should all be a challenge. Tomorrow, I have three classes in the morning including calculus II which should be a rewarding class if I work hard at it. I chose classes which challenge me and meet requirements but at the same time, they are on subjects which I like. I can’t go wrong with my choices!

Plus, I am ready with new study techniques, so no more sleeping at 2 or 3 am. I am ready to eat better; my rice cooker will work miracles. I am ready to not procrastinate; instead I’ll do homework in the afternoon, now that I won’t work every afternoon.

So here I am, second semester here I come.

P.S. It’s funny how people can know you and imitate your writing. That’s my thought for the day!
